The Dumaguete Shooters Association (DSA) hosted one of its most memorable summer events this year, the DSA Summer Shootfest, a sanctioned match of the Philippine Practical Shooting Association at the DSA Firing Range in Sibulan.

Micheal Arada and Mark Ang Gobonseng of Dumaguete City, Ramil Potot of Cebu, and Andoy Deleon of La Carlota City were declared champions in their respective divisions.

Category champions: Agting Dan (Bacolod), Margarito Aliñabo (Dumaguete), Ivan Rivera (Tanjay), Ernesto Bullseye Dy (Dumaguete), Atty. Lloyd Jeson Elmaco (Dumaguete), Edmundo Diao (Bayawan), Roger Abugan (Dumaguete), Howell Sia (Bayawan), Bing Calma (Bacolod), Florendo Renan (Bacolod), Rheneljun Soza (SWAT Dumaguete), James Cordova (Dumaguete), Ronne Ortaliz (La Carlota), Pilar Cards (La Carlota), Engr. Herrod Alivio (Dumaguete) and Olim Laviste (Dumaguete).

Lawman champions: Adrian Arellano (Bacolod), Neil Tilanas (Bacolod) and Col. Alet Intac Vitucio (Dumaguete), while team Magahat of Bayawan represented by members Micheal Arada, Edmundo Diao, Howell Sia, Junas Gaco, and Santiago Inke won the team relay match.

The competition was also participated by practical shooters and gun enthusiasts from all over Visayas representing their respective shooting teams and gun clubs.

The event was successfully organized by DSA headed by president Roy T. Cang, with the help of all DSA range officers, Bullseye Guns and Accessories, Bethel Guest House, Mark Ang Gobonseng, Marvin Kho, Edward Sung, VVer Construction, and DSA Team Alpha. (PR)
