Another festive four days are coming up with the 2nd Dagit Arts Fest happening on Feb. 25-28 at Robinsons Place Dumaguete, organized by the Provincial Office of the Department of Trade & Industry.

Dagit Arts Fest is DTI’s contribution to celebrate February as the National Arts Month with the theme: Malikhain. Mapagbago. Filipino.

Together with the Dumaguete City Tourism and the Youth Advocates through Theater Arts, Dagit Art Fest is part of the collective Kisaw Arts activities running in the city with support from the National Commission for Culture & the Arts.

According to the DTI Provincial Director Javier Fortunato Jr, the objective of Dagit Arts Fest is to encourage artists to come up with unique, contemporary and affordable arts pieces for selling at the booth area. Artwork may include paintings and prints, photographic art, ceramic products, sculpture, craft items, music and other creative products and services.”

There are 25 participating small and medium enterprises, and 35 artists to exhibit various art pieces. There will be workshops, talks, and music performances by the musicians of the Bell Tower Project.

The event is also in collaboration with Gugma Gaia, Foundation University, and the Negros Oriental Chamber of Commerce & Industry. (Razcel Jan Salvarita)
