The Negros Oriental Chamber of Commerce Inc. has reorganized and elected a new set of officers for the next five years.
Acting president Edward Du won a two-way race for president in an election by new 15-member board of directors Friday at the El Camino Blanco Bar and Restaurant.{{more}}
Also elected were Engr. Greg Uymatiao, Jr., vice president for finance; Francisco Martinez, vice president for programs and administration; Atty. Raymund Jorge Mercado, vice president for membership.

The other members of the NOCCI board are Gilbert Uymatiao, Edward Uy, Marciano Kho, Alex Pal, Allan Benette Matiao, President Emeritus Ernesto Quaimco and Immediate Past President Manuel Sagarbarria.
Immediately after the election, the NOCCI board discussed the mechanics of a proposed business registry databank for Dumaguete City.
This project is patterned after a similar project in Naga City which, among others, updates data of city businesses which could be used for business matching and to provide public access to the data base.
