Two law schools in Dumaguete City have produced 17 new lawyers in the 2024 Bar Examinations.

Foundation University announced the names of 10 successful bar examinees in a social media post Friday.

The new lawyers from Foundation University are:  Angelica Carriaga, Karen Dungog, Fritz Colleen Figueras, John Ray Publico, Mary Louise Ramirez, Jonariza Sabaysabay Airah Faye Tabotabo, , Jeiel Tajanlangit, Anna Katrina Tan and Alphea Mae Villalon.

The Silliman University. College of Law and Jurispridence, on the other hand, announced the names of their seven new lawyers:

Ven Albert Buenaobra, Abigail Miller, Isabel Maria Oamilda, Jezrel Perez, Alessandra Sabrina Pinili, Jan Jefferson Tilos, Val Dominic Uy

The Supreme Court lowered the passing grade from 75 to 74, increasing the percentage to 37.84 percent or a total of 3,962 new lawyers.  The will be dubbed as the Most Valuable Lawyers following the initials of the Bar Chair Justice Mario V. Lopez. (Alex Pal)
