The City Health Office of Dumaguete has started vaccinating children with comorbidities aging 12 to 17 years-old against COVID-19, in coordination with the Integrated Provincial Health Office.
Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo said that Pfizer vaccines will be used to inoculate the children who are at risk from coronavirus that will accelerate the objective to achieve herd immunity so the City can fully reopen safely.
To be eligible for vaccination those interested are remind to register online or at their barangay health centers and wait for the call from the City Health Office confirming your vaccination schedule and site.
The child’s Medical Certificate, Birth Certificate, and Valid ID of the parent or Special Power of Attorney for the guardian must also be presented during the vaccination and a parent or guardian must be present during the vaccination of the child.
Vaccination for the children with comorbidities is done by the pediatricians at the Negros Oriental Provincial Hospital.
A statement from the City Information Office said that to avoid overcrowding and to maintain order, only those who registered and with confirmed schedules will be allowed inside the vaccination site, adding that walk-in patients is discouraged.
