Julio Antonio Base Yoldi, a Grade 11 student at Silliman University Senior High School, qualified to represent the country in the U16 Men’s National Team that is now competing at the 13-day ASEAN Football Federation U16 Championship in Indonesia which ends on Aug. 12. Julio started playing soccer for Football Kings United when he was five years old, and played for the Silliman elementary and high school varsity teams, and the Negros Oriental-Siquijor Football Association. Soccer clubs like Davao Crocs and Makati FC have picked Julio for international games in France, Sweden, Borneo, and Singapore. He recently completed a six-month training in soccer at Club Med Academies in Florida, USA. (Contributed photo)
