DYGB top radio in NegOr — survey

Power 91 DYGB-FM bested other FM and AM radio stations in Negros Oriental in a latest survey conducted by Kantar Media and the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas.

Operations manager Prox Balatayo on Thursday disclosed that survey results showed DYGB 91.7 or popularly known as Power 91 earned 51.11 percent, followed by DYYD 106 Yes FM at second spot with 28.51 percent, DYEM 96.7 Bai Radio with 4.88 percent, DYMD 93.7 Energy FM with 4.35 percent and DYSR 95.1 Wild FM with 0.34 percent.

For the AM radio stations, DYWC 801 Radyo Bandilyo (Dumaguete) 8.63 percent, DYRM 1134 Radyo Asenso with 1.80 percent and DYSR 891 Radyo Serbisyo with 0.38 percent.

The survey was conducted from Nov. 16 to 22, 2016 in Dumaguete City, covering 100 households and 132,000 individuals.

Power 91 DYGB-FM is a mix of news, public affairs and music, and started broadcasting on Aug. 10, 1991, Balatayo said. It is owned and operated by Gold Label Broadcasting, Inc., whose owner, Danilo Dy, is also the station manager, and the radio station is an affiliate member of Radio Mindanao Network, he added.

Balatayo expressed gratitude to their listeners, sponsors, supporters and all who have contributed to the achievement and assured to continue providing quality service to the community.

Kantar Media is “a global leader in media intelligence, providing clients with the data they need to make informed decisions on media measurement, monitoring and selection”, the survey said.
