How can geothermal energy give us a brighter future?
Answer this question through a creative three to five- minute video to get a chance to win P20,000 in geothermal leader Energy Development Corp.’s Sa Geothermal, may Forever video contest.
This first-ever video contest on geothermal energy, the only form of renewable energy that provides clean, uninterrupted power 24 hours a day, seven days a week, rain or shine, is open to all professional or amateur Negrense filmmakers, actors, actresses, and scriptwriters.
The theme is open to interpretation, and participants are encouraged to tell the best story they can to describe the benefits of geothermal energy.
Participants only need a camera (even a cellphone camera), and a group of friends to make their vision come to life.
Groups that submit their videos will have a chance to have their work featured on the Positive Energy Facebook page, where it will be seen by thousands of page’s viewers.
Producers of the best picture will win P20,000 while other fabulous prizes await the best screenplay, best actor, best actress, and people’s choice awards that will be announced in a glamorous gala event, featuring Robi Domingo.
Deadline for submission of entries has just been extended to Oct. 1.
The video contest is organized in partnership with Drink Editorial & Design Inc., the Association of Negros Oriental Public Information Officers, Hush Events, and KBP-Bacolod.
EDC is the world’s largest vertically-integrated geothermal company and the only diversified renewable energy firm in the country. The company has been powering infinite possibilities in Negros Oriental for 35 years with geothermal energy 24/7. (PR)
