The City Nutrition Council and the City Agriculture Office will hold Food Fair 2014 on July 30 at the Quezon Park as part of the culmination program of the Nutrition Month celebration.

City Nutrition Officer Lourdes Taburasa said the program will start at 9:30 a.m. with a welcome message by City Administrator William Ablong, and an inspirational message by Mayor Manuel Sagarbarria, followed by the cutting of the nutrition vine to officially open the fair.

During the food fair, different root crops, native products, and vegetables from different barangays in the City will be displayed. There will be simultaneous demo and contests, including agricultural exhibits, a booth contest, the A-1 Day Care contest, inter-barangay cooking contest, and diet counseling.

The activity will culminate at 3pm with the awarding of winners in the following competitions: 6th Inter-High School Oratorical Contest, cooking contest, A-1 Day Care Child Selection, Day Care Nutrition Corner Contest, Day Care School Garden Contest, Well Baby Contest, quiz bowl, inter barangay booth contest, and Best BNW Home Garden.
