Angelita Electona Villanueva, born April 20, 1925, is turning 100 … a remarkable milestone that reflects a life rich in heritage, resilience, and familial devotion.
Angelita is the daughter of Sergio Catacutan Villanueva and Francisca Torillo Electona, and the middle and only surviving sibling of José and Juvenal Villanueva. Her roots trace back to the Villanueva family of Bais and Tanjay and Sta. Catalina, Negros Oriental in the Philippines.
Although she never married she enriched the lives of her nieces and nephews and the countless kids she taught as a school teacher in elementary school in her hometown Sta. Catalina.
As she reaches this centennial milestone, Angelita’s legacy continues to inspire her family and community, embodying the virtues of perseverance and grace. Her story is a cherished chapter in the ongoing narrative of the Villanueva family. (Lea Villanueva Castelli)
