A university in France caps the list of new and prospective foreign partners of Silliman University for School Year 2014 to 2015.
The Director of International Relations of the Université Catholique de Lille arrives on campus on March 24 to explore a potential partnership with Silliman University. This, after the Philippine Ambassador to France endorsed Silliman as among reputable universities in the Philippines that French universities may tie up with.
Twelve (12) foreign universities were welcomed on campus this school year to iron out, formalize or reinforce partnership arrangements. Common areas of interest are student and faculty exchange, resource sharing, collaborative research, and service-learning.
These 12 universities were: Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt, Germany; Chaminade University, Hawaii; Kinki University, Japan; Kwansei Gakuin University, Japan; Hannam University, Korea; Ngee Ann University, Singapore; Tumaini University Makumira, Tanzania; Prince of Songkla University, Thailand; Gordon College, USA; Seton Hall University, USA; Shenandoah University, USA; and University of Connecticut, USA.
The academic institutions that visited Silliman this school year expands the University’s list of over a hundred academic partners across Asia, Africa, Australia, Europe, Central America and North America. The numbers are higher, counting the affiliations of Silliman with member-universities of the Association of Christian Universities and Colleges in Asia.
