The Board of Trustees of Foundation University, upon the recommendation of its President Victor Vicente Dean Sinco, has appointed noted businessman-lawyer Atty. Ebenezer Y. Lim as University chancellor.

As chancellor, Atty. Lim’s primary role is to carry out the educational policies and academic programs of Foundation, and assist the President in the management of University operations.

Prior to his appointment as chancellor, Atty. Lim was one of the stockholders of the University as a non-profit organization. He also served Foundation as director for Income-Generating Projects, and Presidential aide for Administration.

In the community, Atty. Lim was president and Board member of SG Bank, and executive vice president of Negros Oriental Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Atty. Lim is founding partner of EDLAW.

His rich experience in academia includes key positions at Silliman University: vice president for Finance & Administration, executive vice president, dean for Business Administration, and director of the Master in Business Administration program.

Atty. Lim graduated with a degree in business administration, cum laude, from Silliman; and an MBA from the Asian Institute of Management. He later finished bachelor of laws, magna cum laude, from Silliman. He was admitted to the Bar in 1980.

In recognition of his honest and credible law practice, as well as active involvement and service in various entities including academic institutions, private companies, socio-civic organizations and the church, Atty. Lim was recognized as one of the 2018 Outstanding SULaw (Silliman University Law Alumni Association Inc.) Awardees.

With the able leadership of Atty. Lim as chancellor, FU President Sinco said he hopes to fully advance the goals, vision, mission and life purpose of FU as an educational institution. (Klein Emperado)
