Foundation University installed a new president Friday, in a no-fanfare event at the Lawak Kauswagan at the University main campus.

Victor Vicente “Dean” G. Sinco, erstwhile vice president for finance & administration, replaced his mother, Dr. Mira Dragon-Sinco, who will assume a new role as superintendent for the FU Grade School and High School.

The new President will also retain his post as chairman of the board.

Dr. Eva Melon will continue to be the vice president for academic affairs.

Addressing invited guests and the media, President Dean Sinco presented videos of the past, present and future of Foundation University. Then he opened the floor for questions.

Msgr. Julius Perpetuo Heruela, the campus chaplain, then gave the benediction for the university officials.

Founded by Vicente G. Sinco in 1949 as a non-stock, non-profit and non-sectarian institution, Foundation University celebrates its 66th year on July 4.
