The Regional Quality Assessment Team, of the Commission on Higher Education in Central Visayas has evaluated the Nursing program at Foundation University and has given it the go-signal to seek accreditation from the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges & Universities.
The RQAT visited Foundation University last week and looked into the College of Nursing facilities, the qualifications of their teachers and other requirements.
In the exit-interview with the FU administration, the RQAT said the College of Nursing has complied with the requirements under the areas of evaluation and also submitted recommendations to further improve the College.
The team of evaluators was composed of Dr. Josefino A. Ronquillo, Dr. Daisy R. Palompon and Prof. Florenda F. Cabatit.
Dr. Eva Melon, FU vice president for academic affairs, said they look forward to being accredited with the PAASCU because this is an important step in improving the quality of education offered at the College of Nursing as well as the University.
Prof. Nenita Tayko, dean of the FU College of Nursing, said they are now accepting applicants for the coming school year.
