In a formal ceremony held Sept. 25, the Energy Development Corp., through its Community Partnerships, External Relations & Watershed Management department, turned over P200,000 worth of scholarships for senior high students enrolled at Foundation University.
Myrissa Lepiten-Tabao, Community Partnerships head, presented the Senior High School Scholarship Grant in the amount of P200,000 to FU President Victor Vicente “Dean” Sinco.
During the short program, EDC affirmed its commitment to the company’s Health Education Livelihood Environment program.
Currently, 20 pupils who are residents of barangays near the geothermal site in Valencia are recipients of EDC’s scholarship program at the Foundation Preparatory Academy, the basic education unit of the University.
Also present during the ceremonies were FPA Supt. Dr. Mira Sinco, FPA Principal Dr. Cristina Calisang, FPA Head Teacher Felipe Sullera Jr., Pacita Nuique, EDC’s Community Partnership officer, and Andrew Casuncad of EDC’s Community Partnerships department.
