In partnership with the Technical Education Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Foundation University is offering short-term courses for Academic Year 2015-2016.
Under the School of Industrial Engineering & Technology, a National Certificate 2 (NC II) is offered on Electrical Installation & Maintenance. This course covers knowledge, skills and attitude in electrical installation for a period of 402 hours. It also deals with good house keeping and safety.
For the College of Hospitality Management, NC 2 are up for grabs in Cookery, Bread & Pastry Production, and Housekeeping.
The Bread & Pastry course consists of competencies that people must achieve to be able to clean equipment, tools and utensils, and prepare, portion and plate pastries, breads and other dessert items to guests in hotels, motels, restaurants, clubs, canteens, resorts and luxury lines/cruises, and other related operations. This 141-hour course is designed to enhance the knowledge, skills and attitude in bread & pastry production to prepare and present desserts; prepare and display petits four in accordance with industry standards. It covers the basic, common and core competencies.
