Foundation University in Dumaguete City is celebrating its 62nd Founder’s Day on July 4.

This year’s celebration will start with a fun walk around Dumaguete City on July 4, to be followed by a Holy Mass at the FU Main Campus and a community breakfast.

The rest of the morning will be devoted to Filipino games, to be participated in by administrators, faculty, staff and students.

On Wednesday, July 6, the University will have its opening academic convocation at the Sofia Soller Sinco Hall at 2 p.m. with Simon Sandoval, an international runner and climber, and a computer programming expert, as speaker.

This will be followed by the picturesque Dal-uy activity at the Rizal Boulevard at dusk where the FU community will release some 4,000 water lanterns into the sea with prayers and wishes for a fruitful year.

The week will also see students involved in sports and cultural activities, in a festival initiated by the Student Government.
