The eco-friendly ventures in the Foundation University campus continue with the installation of additional solar panels, owned by the University itself.

Solar panels were first installed on top of the buildings at the north campus long V. Locsin St.

The north campus is home to the Foundation Preparatory Academy, the basic education arm of the University; and the Greyhound Garden where three gymnasium and a football field are located.

According to FU President Vicente “Dean” Sinco, the investment on solar panels will not only lessen the University’s expenses for power consumption but more importantly, help in the sustainability efforts for the environment.

The University’s move is in line with its aim to go full scale on the implementation of renewable energy projects.

Foundation University holds the distinction of being the Most Eco-Friendly & Sustainable School in the entire country, according to the Department of Environment & Natural Resources.
