A star-studded weekend capped the Buglasan Festival as GMA Network brought a number of its most sought-after stars to Dumaguete.

Oct. 12, GMA7’s well-loved family sitcom Pepito Manaloto which stars Manilyn Reynes, Mosang, John Feir, Angel Satsumi, and Arthur Solinap graced Dumaguete City’s Buglasan Festival.

Early in the afternoon, the cast boarded the Kapuso float for the Buglasan Parade that toured along the main streets of Dumaguete, also known as the City of Gentle People.

Jolting up the festivity further was the Kapuso Night held at Quezon Park featuring the Pepito Manaloto family, this time with the participation of Party Pilipinas’ Mark Bautista and Geoff Eigenmann, Sports Pilipinas’ and Day-Off’s Isabel Oli, Luna Blanca’s Chynna Ortaleza, and Protégé contenders Zandra Summer of Cebu, Thea Tolentino of Laguna, and Elle Ramirez of Mega Manila, leaving the crowd mesmerized.

“The Kapuso Network is excited for the weekend’s events in Visayas. From the major Kapuso activities in Dumaguete’s Buglasan Festival to a series of surprises in Bacolod’s Masskara Festival, our Kapusos in Negros can’t ask for more. We would like to thank the Buglasan Festival Committee, SM Bacolod, the Silver Masskara Festival Organization Inc., and our generous event partners and sponsors for making all these possible,”shares GMA Regional TV assistant vice president Oliver Amoroso.

Amoroso graduated magna cum laude in Mass Communication from Silliman University. (PR)
