The livestream concert of the Tabernacle Choir with Ms. Lea Salonga was an experience that transcended mere entertainment—it was a journey of the soul.

From the first notes to the final crescendo, the performance moved and edified everyone in the room in ways no one ever expected.

Lea Salonga’s voice, angelic and powerful, intertwined seamlessly with the heavenly harmonies of the Tabernacle Choir, creating a symphony of emotion that touched the depths of everyone’s heart.

Although we participated remotely, one thing is for sure: with each song, everyone felt the spirit reaffirming our faith in His divine love.

But it wasn’t just the spiritual aspect that left a lasting impression. The livestream was also a celebration of joy and unity, as people from all walks of life came together to sing along to familiar tunes.

Everyone in that room could not deny the edifying spirit that filled our hearts. Visitors expressed their appreciation and joy as they watched along with the members with one common goal to be uplifted

The finale hymn, Bahay Kubo, resonated deeply with Filipinos everywhere, evoking memories of home and heritage. As the performance drew to a close, the strains of God be with You till We Meet Again filled the air, offering a promise of hope and inspiration for the journey ahead.

The successful concert was also aired at the Pantawan People’s Park that surely graced everyone’s ears as they witnessed such marvelous event unfold.

In behalf of the Stake Presidency of The Dumaguete Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we want to take this opportunity to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mayor Ipe Remollo and his good office, and the whole team for their incredible support during the livestream watch party of the Tabernacle Choir World Tour 2024.

Their generosity in airing the event at the LED wall of the Pantawan allowed our community to come together and experience the beauty of this performance in a truly special way.

We are grateful as well as to Katherine N. Aguilar and the entire Tourism department for their seamless coordination and dedication to making this event possible. Their efforts were remarkable, and we are grateful by their commitment to bringing cultural and artistic experiences to our City.

The uplifting music and messages shared during the livestream brought joy and inspiration to all who attended, and it was a privilege to be a part of such a meaningful event.

The Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square concluded its historic Himig ng Pag-asa Philippine Tour with a capstone concert on Feb. 28, 2024. Over 9,000 people witnessed the event live at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

It was graced by our very own President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., members of the Senate, and other revered leaders of other faiths including His Eminence Jose Cardinal Advincula, the Archbishop of Manila; the Very Reverend Fr. Richard Ang, rector Magnificus of UST; Dr. Antonio Africa, dean of UST’s Conservatory of Music; Elder Neil L. Andersen of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; Elder Steven R. Bangerter, Elder Yoon Hwan Choi, and Elder Carlos G. Revillo of the Philippines Area Presidency.

The concert was live-streamed via YouTube, and the broadcast page of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; and viewed at 200 watch parties in Stakes and District Centers, local cinemas, town halls, and public squares nationwide.

Initial YouTube viewership indicated almost 60,000 viewers watched within the first hour. Beyond the vast turnout and viewership, The Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra will leave the Philippines, a music-loving country, in a better state than when they arrived nine days ago.

But beyond mere numbers, the legacy of the Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra in the Philippines is one of transformation.

In a country known for its deep love of music, their melodies have woven a tapestry of hope, leaving behind a legacy that will resonate long after their final note has faded.
