2012 Governor’s Cup: Inter- Collegiate League going on

The 2012 Governor’s Cup: Inter—Collegiate League opened Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012 at the Lamberto Macias Sports & Cultural Center Complex, with 10 colleges and universities in the Province participating.

Negros Oriental Sports Development Program coordinator Paultom Paras said the Inter-Collegiate League is being participated by AMA Computer College, Asian College, Colegio de Sta. Catalina de Alejandria (COSCA), La Consolacion College in Bais City, Metro Dumaguete College, Negros Maritime College Foundation, Negros Oriental State University (NORSU), St. Joseph Seminary College, St. Paul University Dumaguete, and Silliman University.

Paras said this year’s Inter- Collegiate League is just one of the many scheduled sports events in the Province.

He also announced that the NOSDEP, with the approval of Gov. Roel Degamo, has created a management team that will make policies, schedule, and facilitate various sports events in the Province.

The new management team is headed by COSCA President Rev. Fr. Enrique N. Balaongag as event manager.

The assistant managers are Rafael Duhaylungsod (St. Paul) for Programs, Promotions & Marketing; Glendol Badon (Negros Oriental Sports Confederation)for Technical Management; Glenn Serion (NOrSports)for Officiating Officials; Necito Catubo (NOSDEP) for Venues; Ryan Equio (NOSDEP) for Medical & Security; Prof.Miriam Ramacho (SU) for Screening, Credentials & Database, assisted by Rolando Rosales (AMA) and Robeleo Padernal (NORSU).
