For the first time, different branches and chapters of the Guardians Brotherhood in Dumaguete City have responded to the call for unification by the brains and founder of the Guardians Brotherhood in the country.

Retired Police Colonel Leborio (UGMF) Abraham Jangao Jr., who is referred to as the Brains and Father of all Guardians (BFG) was accompanied by Edpidio Seletaria Jr, the Universal Pioneer Master Founder (UPMF) and international chairman of the Guardians Brotherhood–the original in seeking audience with the different branches of the Guardians brotherhood in Dumaguete.

A motorcade was participated in by different groups over the weekend, followed by the Guardians Summit and the celebration of the 35th founding anniversary of the brotherhood that was established in December 10, 1984. It started with the Diablo group in the early 80s and has transformed into the Guardian brotherhood.

In an interview, UPMF Seletaria said the brains and founder UGMF Jangao deemed it necessary to unify the different breakaway groups so he established the Universal Guardians Brotherhood (UGB) with the hope of unifying them into one solid group.

A total of eight guardians branches participated in the unification effort, namely, GSSI, GBINOI, GBICB, PGBI, TGBI-TO, GIP, GBI-CBAT, and GBI.

UPMF Seletaria, however, made it clear, the newly established group UGB will not interfere in the by-laws, policies and practice of each group. Thus, the theme of the 35th Guardians anniversary summit is “Building Bridges for Unity-One Brotherhood One Guardian.

Jangao stressed regardless of factions, regardless of whatever group they belong, there is only one Guardian Brotherhood in the country in expressing optimism they can be unified as one, with Dumaguete as the pilot area for unification.

The brains and founder was told many of the branches in Dumaguete and the province would also want a unification that has encouraged him to be in this part of the country.

Different colors, different uniforms worn during the motorcade was indicative of the fact that there is indeed factions of the Guardians Brotherhood but they share the same principles of discipline, unity, peace, justice, equality and especially brotherhood.

Seletaria reminded the different Guardians brotherhood in the city and the province to be strict in the screening process of accepting members because according to their by-laws they don’t count the numbers provided they have quality members.

The UGB 23rd Apex Cluster Unification (Negros Island Region) is headed by Oscar “MF Programmer Ozoa, cluster international chairman, PCGS Sean “NGMF Sean” Estacion, cluster international coordinator, and PCGS Ernie “SF Bond” Habel, cluster international consultant. (Juancho Gallarde)
