Hermenegilda Flores Gloria Memorial High School announced the completion of 43 completers and 80 co-curricular and special awardees for SY 2019-2020.
Principal Claudio Sun Jr. extended online his congratulatory wishes to the completers and awardees for their latest achievement. He said he is confident they are now ready to take another challenge of their academic life — Senior High School.
In a statement, Education Secretary Leonor Magtolis- Briones expressed her felicitations to the graduates and completers for making it this far” as these are milestones of their educational achievement.”
She also conveyed her salutations to all teachers for “molding the minds of our Filipino youth and producing among these learners the much needed knowledge and competencies under the K to 12 Basic Education program.”
Briones also thanked the parents for their sacrifices in attending to the needs of their children.
The theme of this year’s end of school year rites, “Sulong Edukalidad: Championing the Nation’s Future”, consistent with the Department’s call for national effort towards quality basic education.
“DepEd is committed to providing you with 21st century skills through the delivery of basic quality, accessible, relevant and liberating basic education. We continuously strive to institute reforms in our educational system to ensure that you become globally competitive and be able to meet the demands of the Fourth Industrial Revolution,” said Briones in her congratulatory statement.
In an advisory dated April 13, DepEd announced the postponement of the conduct of graduation exercises and moving-up ceremonies in all public elementary and secondary schools nationwide amidst the CoViD-19 pandemic. (PR)
