Hundreds of job seekers in Negros Oriental are expected to take part in a Jobs Fair scheduled by the Tripartite Industrial Peace Council of Negros Oriental on May 1 at the Negros Oriental Convention Center at the Capitol Area.
The Jobs Fair will mark the local celebration of Labor Day spearheaded by TIPC together with the Department of Labor & Employment and the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration.
Kenric Villaluz of DOLE here said that nearly 19 agencies recruiting for overseas jobs coming from Manila and Cebu are expected to participate in the jobs fair, along with around five recruitment agencies for local employment.
Simultaneous with the jobs fair is a medical mission that will be held at the Lamberto Macias Sports Complex, a stone’s throw away from the Convention Center.
Prior to the start of the jobs fair and medical mission at around 9am is a mass will be held at 7am, followed by a short opening program in front of the sports complex.
Villaluz said the jobs fair is an activity held regularly here to mark Labor Day in the Province. The theme for this year’s celebration is Matuwid na Daan tungo sa Kaunlaran para sa Lahat.”
