The Dumaguete Public Employment Service Office (PESO) will hold local and overseas jobs fair on March 24 at the Robinsons Place Dumaguete.

PESO chief Ma. Socorro Mira disclosed potential employers have already signified their intent to participate in the jobs fair, with hundreds of positions up for grabs although the numbers are not yet specific as more participating companies are still expected in the coming days.

A pre-registration for the jobs fair is ongoing at the PESO office, said Mira.

Applicants are asked to bring with them at least three copies of their résumé, three certificates of employment if available, and a passport, for those applying for overseas employment.

Mira said 18 local and six overseas employers are expected to participate in the jobs fair next week.

Also, the regular local recruitment conducted by the city government through its Public Employment Service Office every Wednesday has benefited numerous individuals seeking employment.

Mira disclosed that at least 15 local employers come to their office at the 2nd floor, Building II of the market complex every Wednesday to meet and interview job applicants.

This activity is part of the city government’s efforts to provide employment opportunities for all who are qualified so as to alleviate their living conditions, she said. (Metro Post)
