Thirty-seven of Negros Island’s college student leaders have signed up for the Energy Development Corporation’s (EDC) BINHI Youth Camp that will be held on November 08-10 in Valencia, Negros Oriental.

Eighteen delegates from various colleges and universities in Negros Oriental were sent by their respective school heads while 19 are from Negros Occidental.

Now on its fourth year, the camp promises to be full of fun and experiential learning on various aspects of sustainable development, including geothermal energy, community partnerships, and EDC’s flagship BINHI greening legacy, which is the company’s comprehensive forest restoration program.

The BINHI Youth Camp will be run by EDC employee-volunteers headed by its Crisis and Disaster Preparedness Head, Dr. Ted Esguerra, and its BINHI Youth Champions from the 2014-2016 batches.

Full coverage of the BINHI Youth Camp-Negros will be done by Positive Energy Negros on Facebook.

EDC is the world’s largest vertically integrated geothermal company and the only diversified renewable energy firm in the country. The company has been powering infinite possibilities in Negros Oriental for 35 years now by harnessing geothermal energy, the only form of RE that can provide sustainable power 24 hours a day, rain or shine, all year round.
