Dr. Aparicio Mequi’s The Starting Bloke column on FU IYS Peace reaching out (Aug. 12) hardly promotes peace.

I am offended by his quoting directly angry words of one coach, and a “nasty response” of another coach. It is not necessary to do this, especially in a newspaper like this.

I admire the FU IYSPEACE program, which will have better chances of success with level-headed leadership.

Please keep personal disagreements with other sports personnel out of your column, Dr. Mequi.
