Final preparations are being made for the launch of two major community sporting and wellness events in September.

The Dumaguete Adventure Marathon, the annual event held every third Sunday of November, will be launched at 4 p.m. on Friday, September 7.

The launching activity, which will formally announce the holding of the November 18 sports tourism event, will be held at the Atrium of the Robinson’s Mall Dumaguete.

This year’s Dumaguete Adventure Marathon promises to be a bigger event, with the entry of some major sponsors like Sun Cellular, PhilRice and Cebu Pacific Airlines.

Saturday, September 8, will also see the launching of the PCSO-FU Walkers for Life for Wellness and Walkable Communities.

Margie Juico, the chairperson of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, is expected to attend the activity to be held at 6 a.m. at the Rizal Boulevard.
