A Dumagueteña whose passion for bodybuilding has led her to join bodybuilding competitions, is representing the Philippines for the first time in an international body-building competition.

Julianna Nicole Lopez, to friends as “Juls” is a Silliman University alumna, will be competing in the WFF Universe Malaysia 2025 on October 12 at the Mega Star Arena in Kuala Lumpur.

This event is sanctioned by the World Fitness Federation.

Juls, who holds the title of WFF Sports Model Pro, went on social media to share her excitement about carrying the Filipino flag on the world stage. “This is not just my story—it’s a story of Dumaguete pride, local strength, and global dreams,” she said.

Committed to inspiring others through discipline and passion, Juls is calling on media platforms for support in shining a spotlight on provincial talent achieving international recognition.

Juls had entered the world state last year when she joined an international Pro Body-Building Competition in Manila.

Describing it as her tune-up game for this upcoming international competition, she said she didn’t expect to get a medal on her first International Pro Show as a Natty Athlete. “It was a very memorable experience! I know I made my country very proud of my big win and even my family, friends and my coach…..I guess this is what discipline, consistency and hard work brings its own rewards,” she sai

She credits her physique to her fitness coach Kristoff Amor. Juls is a licensed teacher, having passed the Professional Teachers’ Exam given earlier this year.
