The Land Transportation Office District Office in Bayawan City has been named one of the recipients of the Region’s Best Brigada Ahensya award.

LTO-Bayawan District Office Chief Alberta Janine Flores-Lawas said Wednesday she received a letter dated Sept. 18 from the Civil Service Commission in Region VII, signed by Director IV Editha Lozano, informing her of the award.

Lawas said her office was cited for programs and projects geared towards the improvement of public service and processes, its workplace environment and the general welfare of her staff and clients, among others.

This is one of the highlights of the 117th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary, with the theme Tugon sa Hamon sa Pagbabago: Malasakit ng Lingkod Bayani.

The regional awarding ceremony is set on Sept. 28 at the Montebello Villa Hotel in Cebu City.

The awarding ceremony “aims to recognize outstanding achievements of public servants in Region VII and to motivate others to strive for excellence”, the CSC director said in her letter.

Among those that will be recognized are Region VII’s regional winners to the search for Outstanding Government Workers or the Honor Awards Program, the Search for Best Brigada Ahensya, Best Bilis Aksyon Partners, Most Outstanding Human Resource Management Practitioner, and recognition of agency partners, the CSC added.
