14.6-M PhP “shabu” seized in Neg Or

The Philippine National Police (PNP) in Negros Oriental has seized an aggregate total of almost P15-million worth of suspected shabu on separate anti-illegal drugs operations from January to October this year.

The PNP Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office or NOPPO during the ten-month period conducted a total 289 anti-illegal drugs operations, to include buy bust operations and the service of search warrants, a report from the Provincial Anti Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group said.

The total volume of suspected shabu seized was 1,238.31 grams with a Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value of 14,612,058.00 million pesos.

Also, some 1,636.66 grams of alleged marijuana with a DDB value of P90,016.30 were also confiscated by the police in the same period covered.

The PAIDSOTG report also said that 33 persons were arrested and 429 cases were filed in court in relation to the anti-illegal drugs trade.
