Outgoing Congressman Manuel “Chiquiting” Sagarbarria has been adopted by the Municipality of Mabinay.
In a ceremony during the induction of officers in Mabinay last week, the town awarded Sagarbarria with a Municipal declaration to show their gratitude for his service.
Sagarbarria said getting recognized as an adopted son of Mabinay is a great honor. He said that in his nine years as a member of the House of Representatives, he would be in Mabinay almost every week to check on his projects for the town.
“I didn’t realize that in those nine years, the projects for Mabinay alone amounted to over one billion pesos,” he said.
He said that as an outgoing Congressman, he has identified projects that will be funded under the 2026 budget, which will include projects for Mabinay. (AP)
