Filinvest’s Marina Spatial condominium project is right on target with Building A comprising more than 200 units already well underway construction in Dumaguete City.
The project is seen to boost the city’s economy and bring in more investors and business opportunities as well as jobs generation.
Filinvest-Dumaguete’s manager Phil Calumpang disclosed Tuesday afternoon that the construction is right on target because the building is being built by pouring concrete or “buhos” instead of the conventional method of using hollow blocks and cement.
Calumpang said they are now going into the third floor, adding they are one of the fastest in terms of construction in Dumaguete.
In fact, they are ahead of time, he added.
According to Calumpang, they are now almost 100 percent in sales in Building A although they still have to determine if some had backed out, but believes otherwise.
Building A has at least 244 units measuring 32 square meters and 64 square meters.
The ten-story condominium building is expected for completion before the end of the year 2018 and ready for occupancy, Calumpang disclosed.
Filinvest is now already pre-selling for Building C, projecting a booking of at least 20 percent sales at the moment, Calumpang said.
In all, there are more than 600 units for the three condominium buildings of Marina Spatial.
Filinvest has acquired prime property of 1.9 hectares in Barangay Piapi, where sunrise and sunset views are a come-on for the condominium unit owners.
The developer penetrated the Dumaguete market and broke ground last year after seeing positive and potential investments in this capital city of Negros Oriental, dubbed as the 5th best retirement places in the world.
Calumpang disclosed that Quest Hotel, also a Filinvest brand name, will start building by the end of this year.
The entire complex, dubbed Marina Town, brings to Dumaguete a different kind of lifestyle, with a shopping complex, a basketball court, a swimming pool, a boardwalk and food shops within reach of the condominium owners and security, among others, said Calumpang.
Inquiries and sales continue from both locals and foreigners, many of whom are residents of Dumaguete, Calumpang added.
Filinvest is hoping that the city government will complement their project with the concreting of the road by the sea that connects Barangay Piapi to Barangay Bantayan.
The road is expected to decongest traffic in the area and provide condominium residents with an alternate route when leaving the township area, Calumpang said. (Judy Flores Partlow)
