The city government of Dumaguete through the City Tourism Office and the Department of Foreign Affairs-Bacolod consular office will conduct once again mobile passporting services on May 5 and 6, 2012.

Jessica Layumas of the City Tourism Office said the mobile passporting will be held from 8 a.m. to 5p.m. on May 5, and from 8a.m. to 3p.m. on May 6 at Robinsons Place. Interested applicants are urged to go to the City Tourism Office to be listed.

The City Tourism Office staff will also pre-evaluate documents to determine the completeness of the documents to avoid delay and confusion on processing day.

This will be the fourth mobile passporting services that the City Tourism Office will conduct, the last being held last November last year.

The DFA will process new, expired, or passports for renewal.

The City Tourism Office and the Department of Foreign Affairs have so far facilitated the processing of more than 2,000 passports since it was first held in Dumaguete in 2009, averaging 700 passports per activity, which DFA-Bacolod head Joselito Blas said is unprecedented. (PIO)
