CANLAON CITY — A total of 19 participants from Dumaguete City, Valencia, Dauin, Mabinay and this City participated in a training program on Naturalist Guide Training, sponsored by the Department of Tourism. The seven-day training was held here in Canlaon City.

The training stemmed from the initial request of Canlaon Mayor Jimmy Clerigo to Tourism Regional Director Rowena Montecillo to conduct a mountain guide training for the Mt. Kanlaon Natural Park here.
The training program was made possible through the supervision of the DOT-Bureau for Standards Director Ma. Rica Bueno, and the Provincial Tourism Unit headed by Myla Mae Bromo—Abellana, senior tourism operations officer. (PR/Provincial Tourism Office)
