Twenty-five motor vehicle-free streets, one in each of the 25 cities and municipalities of Negros Oriental, thus, transforming the Province into a template of having the most walkable communities in the Philippines.
2. A more potent and aggressive Task Force SAGARR in fulfilling its promise as a “special action group advocating rapid reform,” which was created in September 2010 and after 15 months, its impact still has to be felt and appreciated by the Dumagueteños.
3. More Negrenses who walk, instead of ride their motorcycles so they will be healthier, can help mitigate climate change, and create a more peaceful and crime-free communities–three facts supported by research.
4. Active and militant involvement of the Provincial, City and Municipal Sangguniang Kabataan in programs and projects that ensure quality lives for themselves, their communities, and a sustainable future.
5. Maximum utilization of the dormant athletic facilities such as the Perdices Stadium whose P25 million all-weather track oval and football field have become a “white elephant”, defined as “a burdensome possession of which its owner cannot dispose, and whose cost (upkeep) is out of proportion to its usefulness or worth.”
6.Reorganization of the Provincial Sports Development Council in consonance with Executive Orders Nos. 63 and 64, so that once and for all, a comprehensive and integrated program of physical fitness and sports will be institutionalized, provide greater opportunities for participation, and ensure a successful hosting of the Philippine National Games in May 2012.
7. Activation of the long- dormant Consortium on Higher Education in Negros Oriental (CHENO) to promote greater cooperation and sharing of resources among the academic institutions of the Province.
8. Support of the other academic institutions, the NORFA, and other sports stakeholders, for the campaign initiated by Foundation University which banned an elementary school, its coaches, and a player from participation in FU-organized football tournaments, to mitigate cheating and other malpractices attending sports, in the belief that sporting events are opportunities for the promotion of desirable values.
9. For NORFA, the only sports association in Negros Oriental affiliated with a national sports association (Philippine Football Federation), to comply with its commitment and responsibility to promote football in our locality by organizing more clinics and tournaments on a regular basis–and finally, hold a general assembly of members which the Association has not done since 2007.
10. More marathons in Negros Oriental to transform the Province as the national center of marathon running, and challenge the supremacy of the Kenyans, and to promote our locality as a wholesome tourism destination as proven by the success of the 2010 Dumaguete Adventure Marathon.
11. A more proactive City Council enacting ordinances that address the issues of health and wellness (teen-age pregnancy, HIV,) climate change mitigation and adaptation (the City Dump and informal settlers), and sustainable development.
12.Successful implementation of the ordinance regulating the use of plastic bags which takes effect in just more than 60 days from today.
