The provincial government of Negros Oriental is continuing its inoculation efforts against coronavirus disease 2019 even after the initial nationwide massive vaccination campaign.
Assistant Provincial Health Officer Dr. Liland Estacion, in a virtual presser Tuesday afternoon, said the Province still has about 41,000 doses of Moderna, Pfizer, and Sinovac vaccines.
The local government units have received their own vaccine allocation, she said.
Estacion, CoViD-19 incident commander of the Province’s Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases, said the three-day massive vaccination drive that was held last week across the country was successful in the province.
She, however, could not yet give the actual number of people who received the vaccine while awaiting reports from the LGUs.
Estacion said the provincial mobile vaccination team has lined up out-of-town schedules to assist the LGUs in the vaccination rollout.
She announced the vaccination schedule as follows: Sibulan on Monday, Dec. 13; Nabilog in Tayasan, Gamao in Bayawan City, and Pacuan in La Libertad on Tuesday, Dec. 14; Cabcaban in Bindoy and Dauin on Wednesday, Dec. 15; Tanjay and Bais on Thursday, Dec. 16; at the mega vaccination center in Dumaguete on Friday, Dec. 17; Manjuyod on Monday, Dec. 20; Bindoy and Jimalalud on Tuesday, Dec. 21.
The local government units of Pamplona, Canlaon, Vallehermoso, Basay, Mabinay, Bacong, Ayungon, and Sto. Niño in Tanjay have conducted their vaccination sessions in the past two weeks.
The national government has also scheduled another round of nationwide massive vaccination from Dec. 15 to 17. (Judy F. Partlow/PNA)
