The Provincial Tourism unit leads the Negros Oriental delegation in the 30th Philippine Travel Mart, an annual event organized by the Philippine Tour Operators Association (PhilTOA).

This is the biggest travel and tourism exhibition in the country catering to inbound tourism, which ends today Sept. 1st at the SMX Convention Center at the Mall of Asia in Pasay City.

Senior Tourism Operations Officer Myla Mae Bromo-Abellana, said the 30th Travel Mart features colorful exhibits, Sale ng Bayan tour packages, and cultural presentations.

On the other hand, the City Tourism Office features Dumaguete’s finest, with emphasis on sports tourism. Dumaguete City has been dubbed as a sports hub in central Philippines.

Other local government units, tour operators, resorts, hotels, pasalubong and crafts businesses are also participating as exhibitors in the NegOr and Dumaguete pavilions.

The NegOr delegation is also composed the Sidlakang Negros Association of Tourism Officers (SiNATO), the Association of Travel & Tours in Negros (ATTiN), the Negros Oriental Association of Tour & Travel Agencies (NOATTA), the Negros Oriental Hotel, Resort and Restaurant Association (NOHRRA), and the Sidlakang Negros Producers Association (SNPA).

The Province’s continued presence in the annual Travel Mart is expected to contribute to the increase in visitor influx to Negros Oriental, Abellana said.
