Rep. Manuel Sagarbarria of the 2nd district of Negros Oriental has expressed his deepest sympathies and condolences on the sudden death of Mayor Emmanuel Diputado of Sibulan town.
Mayor Diputado passed away Sunday last week. He was 48.
“My family and I are deeply saddened by the sudden demise of Mayor Maning Diputado last Sunday. Like the thousands of admirers and friends of Mayor Maning, I first came to know him when he was then a municipal councilor,” said Rep. Sagarbarria in a statement.
“We became good friends, both on a personal level and as a political ally,” he added.
Sagarbarria described the late Sibulan mayor as a “visionary who would always put the interests of his constituents above anything else — with the end view of uplifting the lives of all Sibulanons”.
“The economic growth of the municipality of Sibulan is a living testament of his hard work. Indeed, we lost a great leader, and a friend to many,” the Congressman said. (PNA)
