NegOr tourism officers elect new leaders

The Sidlakang Negros Association of Tourism Officers (SiNATO) elected its new set of officers who will lead the group for the next three years until 2020.

Dumaguete City Tourism Officer Jacqueline Veloso- Antonio was elected president; Amlan Tourism Officer John-John Alabata is vice president; Valencia Tourism Officer Albert Tubal is secretary; Leo Estrellado of San Jose is treasurer; Wilfredo Calumpang of Tanjay City is auditor.

A P.R.O. was elected for each Congressional district: Canlaon City Tourism Officer Isabel Ann Clerigo for the 1st District (Canlaon to Manjuyod); Bais City Tourism Officer Andy Guevarra for the 2nd District (Mabinay to Dumaguete); and Leo Paul Banlat of Zamboanguita for the 3rd District (Bacong to Basay).

Myla Mae Bromo-Abellana, senior tourism operations officer of Negros Oriental, said the new SiNATO officers are optimistic with the new direction they will take, and that they have pledge to work harder to enhance industry growth in the Province.

SiNATO was organized in 2005, and is composed of tourism officers, assistants, coordinators, and city/town councilor-chairpersons for Tourism from the 25 local government units of Negros Oriental.
