New Judges named

The Supreme Court has announced the appointments of new judges for the Regional Trial Courts, Municipal Circuit Trial Courts, and Municipal Courts in Negros Oriental.

Most of the appointments were dated October 2023 but were announced only on Aug. 28 this year.

Named to head the Municipal Circuit Trial Courts are: Judge Terrence Anton Callao in Zamboanguita-Dauin; Judge Andre Stephen Jacobo in Valencia-Bacong; Judge Jo Ann Marie Muñoz-Abada in Pamplona-Amlan-San Jose; and Judge Manolito Tiuseco in Tayasan-Jimalalud.

For the Municipal Trial Courts, appointed were: Judge Floyd Barry Amahit in  Hinobaan, Negros Occidental; Judge Jean-Paul Diputado in Binalbagan, Negros Occidental; Judge Alfredo Orquillas Jr. in Siaton; and Charisse Faith Pepito Sojor, Minglanilla, Cebu.

For the Municipal Trial Court in Cities, the Supreme Court appointed the following: Judge Jennilene Lorico in Tanjay; and Judge Rori James Lawrence Miraflor in Bayawan.

For the Regional Trial Courts, the new Judges are: Judge Richelle Alistado-Noblefranca for Branch 44 in Dumaguete; Judge Angela Charina Cortes-Garces for Branch 33 in Dumaguete; Judge Rowena Fely Licas-Dumalagan for Branch 18-FC in Bais City; Judge Irene Joyce Teves-Valleser for Branch 62 in Bago City; and Judge Chloe Hope Trinidad-Abastillas for Branch 30 in Dumaguete.
