Cracks in the Armor, a novel by Mariano Ngan, multi-awarded former of Silliman University, was launched Aug. 12 at Bethel Guest House.

Written in his trademark style marked with insightful humor and witty asides, this work of fiction, edited by veteran journalist Domini Torrevillas, covers Ngan’s growing-up years as a true-blue Chinoy, and his reflections on life, family, love, politics, justice, and God.

Ngan was president of Silliman University High School Class of 1956, and was team captain of the SU Football Squad. He also taught English & Literature at Silliman. (Ed Dames)
