On December 30, 2011, NOA-USA’s relief mission to the victims of the wrath of Typhoon Sendong was facilitated by Acts 29 group based in Dumaguete City, under the able leadership of Doods Quiamco, Noel and Jennifer Mapeso.

The recipients were 80 families in 4 different barangays: Purok 3, Batinguel = 13 families; Purok 5, Batinguel = 15 families; Purok Jasmine, Candau-ay = 25 families; Scandinavian Village, Candau-ay = 27 families.

Each family received the following items: thermos, 5-kilos of rice, pail & groceries consisting of the simple basic necessities such as pancit, bihon, sardines, etc.

On March 4, 2012, the ACTS 29 team once again successfully ministered to 80 families in Ayungon, Negros Oriental, one of towns that were badly affected by the recent February earthquake. Doreen Bromo Jao coordinated the distribution of the aid which was held at the Community Full Gospel Inc. at Awa-an, Negros Oriental, with Pastor Kent Amorio sharing the Word.

With thanksgiving in their hearts, these families received the same items that were given to the victims of typhoon Sendong.

The NOA (Negros Oriental Association) USA are grateful to the Acts 29 team and to the generous benefactors who made this mission possible.
