Want to save electricity? Minimize its use.
This, in a nutshell, is the only effective way of saving electricity, the Negros Oriental II Electric Cooperative said, amid the resurgence of salesmen promoting so-called energy saving devices in Negros Oriental.
The NORECO II issued a statement denying claims of these salesmen that they are authorized by the electric cooperative.
They ask for down payment and promise to come back another day for the installation of the device. Of course, they don’t come back.
NORECO II said they are not part of such scheme will not be responsible for any outcome from the acquisition of such energy saving device.
“We would like to reiterate that the only way we can conserve energy is through our conscious efforts of minimizing the use of electricity, turning off lights and appliances when not in use, purchasing appliances that are energy-saving and the like.” (JFP)
