To follow after the thanksgiving mass is a blessing of University projects. NORSU President Dr. Henry A. Sojor leads in welcoming guests.
The projects are the new Computer Center and Internet Research Station installed with 200 new computers, the new building for the College of Nursing, Dentistry, Pharmacy & Allied Health Sciences, and the food court. The Nursing building also houses the boardroom for the Board of Regents, a mini-hotel, and classrooms of two colleges: tourism/management, and business/accountancy.
This year’s theme is NORSU: Nurturing Desire for Harmony of Man and Nature. The six-day celebration is a combination of different activities such as sports and athletic competitions, selection of Mr. & Ms. NORSU, dance sport, choral singing, academic convocation, talents night, awarding of outstanding alumni, and recognition of retirees and board topnotchers.
On Dec. 3, the Hugyawan Street Dancing and Showdown will have 14 contingents representing different colleges of NORSU Main Campus I & II in Dumaguete City and the satellite/external campuses in Guihulngan, Bais City, Pamplona, Mabinay, Siaton, and Bayawan-Sta. Catalina.
The Hugyawan theme is NORSU: Dancing towards achieving complete harmony between man and nature.
