The Negros Oriental State University produced one successful bar exam passer from the bar examination given last year. He is Peter Roderick M. Olpoc of Dumaguete City.
Olpoc is a longtime employee of the Philippine National Bank, stationed as sales service officer in Bais City.
NORSU College of Law Dean Pearl Estacion said only Olpoc made it in the bar out of 14 other examinees.
On the other hand, NORSU’s College of Nursing, Pharmacy, Dentistry & Allied Health Science announced that 23 out of 24 Nursing board examinees passed in the Nurses Licensure Examination held December 2011 in Cebu City.
Nursing Dean Dr. Dalisay M. Dumalag said NORSU got a 95.83 percent passing rate with 23 passers. Out of 67,095 who took the examination, only 22,760 (33.92 percent) passed the nursing examination.
