As part of its faculty and staff development program, the Negros Oriental State University held a one-day pre-Retirement Seminar for 19 staff and 64 faculty members on Feb. 19.

Dr. Chizanne Sarabia-Ridad, Human Resource Management officer, said the seminar was conducted through its University Health Awareness, Nurture, Empowerment & Productivity (U-HANEP) program which aims to assist retirees in their needs and goals upon preparation for retirement.

The topics for lectures/discussions included Financial & Savings Preparation for Retirement, handled by Dr. Ester Tan, faculty of the College of Business Administration; Physical Fitness: Fit for Life. What’s Age got to do with it?, discussed by Achemedes Nillas, certified trainer and coach; Psychological Health & Well Being: Essence of Aging and Growing Old Gracefully, by clinical psychologist Dr. Ma. Luz Fuentes; and Religious/Spiritual Involvement, handled by Rev. Fr. Sulpicio Vincoy, parochial vicar of St. Augustine of Hippo. (Joy Perez/NORSU Info)
