Negros Oriental State University garnered a 100 percent passing percentage in the Mechanical Engineer Licensure Examination given Sept. 28-29 this year.
NORSU President Dr. Henry A. Sojor said, Mechanical Engineering has recorded six consecutive 100 passing passing percentage for the past years. Since 1999, it has had a total of 10 100 percent passing percentage in the mechanical engineering
For this year, NORSU’s all nine examinees hurdled the board exam. The national passing percentage is 67.09 percent (1,686 out of 2,513).
The nine new mechanical engineers are: Israel Anthony Banua, Rhea Facturan, Jeffry Katada, Ireneo Morales, Reynaldo Paraguya Jr., Ken Pioquinto, Vladimir Dean Sanchez, Nelosn Trujello, and Dante Tumala.
Josef Vill Villanueva, dean of the College of Engineering & Architecture, said he is happy to report that NORSU is Top 2 in the Philippines getting 100 percent passing percentage in the category of “10 and below” examinees, next to Ateneo de Davao University.
