The Geodetic Engineer Licensure Examination given Sept. 6 and 7 in Manila produced two topnotchers and a 100 percent passing percentage for Negros Oriental State University.
NORSU President Dr. Henry A. Sojor said the national passing percentage is 34.38 percent or 131 out of 381examinees based on a report from the Professional Regulation Commission.
Engr. Michael Saga, chair of the NORSU geodetic engineering department, said there were five examinees from NORSU, two of whom were among the Top 10 examinees: Maria Hyacinth Dasig of Dumaguete City (7th place), and Elizar Ragay of the municipality of Bacong (10th place), with a rating of 83.20 percent.
The three other successful examinees are Rowell Lamat of Bayawan City, Charise Merto and Rhea Suasin of Dumaguetre City.
Sojor said NORSU is the second top performing university in geodetic licensure examinations based on the passing percentage results. The first is UP-Diliman; third is Bulacan State University.
Moreover, in the Electrical Engineer licensure exam held Sept. 10 and 11, NORSU got 66.67 = passing percentage as compared to the national passing percentage of 58.02 percent or 1,519 passers out of 2,618.
