The Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges & Universities in the Philippines increased the accreditation level of five academic programs of Negros Oriental State University on Oct. 17.

The AACCUP, which surveyed and checked the various capabilities of the Master of Arts in Educational Management, BS Office System Management, BS Business Administration, BS Forestry, and BS Agriculture, said in a letter addressed to University President Dr. Don Vicente C. Real that the programs all deserve an increase in their accreditation status after having met strict requirements.

The MA Educational Management program under the NORSU Graduate School is now accredited Level III, while the Office System Management has been re-accredited Level II. Business Ad, Forestry, and Agriculture programs are accredited Level I.

This is the second cycle of accreditation NORSU has undergone this year. In August, the AACCUP also increased the accreditation levels of eight programs of the University after a July survey.

In November, AACCUP will visit NORSU for the third time this year as more programs go through the accreditation process.

NORSU’s commitment to have all its academic programs accredited is a reflection of the desire of the NORSU administration led by Dr. Real for the University to offer quality education that would result in highly competitive or world-class graduates. His goal is to have all academic programs accredited Level IV, the highest accreditation level in the soonest time possible. (NORSU)
